Methacrylate

Zu unserem Portfolio zählen Basisprodukte wie Methylmethacrylat (MMA), n- und i-Butylmethacrylat (BUMA) und Methacrylsäure (MAS). Darüber hinaus produzieren wir die Hydroxyester 2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylat (HEMA), 2-Hydroxypropylmethacrylat (HPMA) und Methacrylamid (MAA).

Im März 2025 hat Röhm erfolgreich eine hochmoderne Produktionsanlage für MMA in Bay City (Texas, USA) in Betrieb genommen. Dabei kommt erstmals die auf C2 basierende LiMA-Technologie ("Leading in Methacrylates") zum Einsatz.

Anteile der Methacrylat-Produktionen nutzen wir dazu, um Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA) in Form von thermoplastischen Formmassen, Perlpolymerisate und Reaktivharze herzustellen.
