Covers and high-performance lenses for street lamps

Street lamps are constantly exposed to the weather as outdoor lamps. PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds make it possible to have visually unchanged components for a long time thanks to the material’s own UV protection: transparent stays transparent – even after many years. For application areas with even higher requirements, PLEXIGLAS® Resist offers increased breaking strength compared to conventional acrylic glass.

The core of modern street lamps is an LED system made of coordinated lenses, reflectors, and high-performance optics made of PLEXIMID®. In addition to good optical properties, PLEXIMID® has a high imaging accuracy, therefore easily allowing for a three-dimensional shaping of the injection-molded lenses. This contributes to the highly efficient and precise direction of the light on roads and paths.
