PLEXIMID® for energy-efficient floodlights

PLEXIMID® has a high imaging accuracy in addition to good optical properties, therefore easily allowing for a three-dimensional shaping of the injection-molded lenses. This helps SIRIUS® high-performance headlights to light up the playing field with high efficiency and precision. The lenses are a major element of the new floodlight system from SITECO, as they focus the light to increase efficiency. The core of innovation is the LED system shown here, made of coordinated lenses, reflectors, and high-performance lenses made of PLEXIMID® TT50, a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMI) from Röhm that is highly dimensionally stable under heat.
