HPL façade sheets

Coextruded films based on our PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds are often used for UV protection of laminates (HPL - High Pressure Laminate) in building facades. The film with material thicknesses between 50 μm and 1000 μm absorbs more than 98% of natural UV radiation and shows excellent resistance to long-term weathering in outdoor applications. If polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is added to the surface of the film, this extends the UV protection to include high chemical resistance and a dirt-repellent and therefore easy-to-clean surface.
